Journal 1

It's October 11, 2023.

I did something incredibly out-of-the-ordinary today after class.

(And just a precaution, I swear a lot.)

I never was one for sports, but for some reason (maybe uncontrollable cravings or just a spike in my stress level), I hopped onto my bike and rode all the way from CCU to the nearest McDonald's in Minxong County for a fourth meal. You heard right, not just some lousy snacks during midnight, it's a FOURTH meal.

I let Google Map lead the way, which is a bad idea in most cases, so it's no surprise when it tried to lead me to some sort of a side path, devoid of any street lights or signs of life. It was so dark, as a matter of fact, I had to stick my phone, still-navigating with the flashlight on, into my front pocket. The shadows it casted was so disturbing against the desolate field of pineapples and who knows what's, I noped out of the place at once. I'm glad I did though, never knew what I would have gotten myself into if I continued following that path.

Side note, I encountered a dog and its owner after getting the hell out of the ominous path. The dog practically leaped in front of my bike and scared the crap out of me as I slammed the brakes. Nothing's hurt, except for my heart, which is beating so damned fast I don't even know what to do with it. Not only that, the dog then proceeded to start barking at me when its owner held onto its leashes and dragged it off the road. Why, just why? I don't understand. Enlighten me with your canine brain, please.

The psychopathic Google Map found me another road. This time, thank goodness, it's considerably more normal than the last one. Don't know why I even bothered to do so, but I stopped and pulled over to double check if I was breaking any laws. Apparently not, for which I am quite surprised.

I got some fries and a burger, along with a cup of sprite to wash it all down at McDonald's. It was well worth it, and the temperature outside was nice and chilly too. (which is how I like it)

Despite the distance between CCU and McDonald's, getting there is not the problem, it's coming back that's more of a hassle. In short, I hate biking uphill, I bet my thighs will burn like hell tomorrow.
